Chapter Five

It was just after 5:30am the next morning when the first rays of sunlight began to illuminate the Port of Leith. Situated fifty miles to the east of Glasgow, just north of Edinburgh, the morning air was warm and muggy as a small flock of seagulls descended from the sky and landed on a large bright green industrial bin. As they began to peck at some castoff leftovers, one of the gulls mewed to alert others in the sky that there was plenty to go around.

As the seagulls enjoyed their breakfast, the port was beginning to come alive as crews of workers were preparing a Handy-sized vessel for its imminent departure. The ship wasn’t the largest and only supported a capacity of 18,000 deadweight tonnage, but made it ideal to operate in most small ports all over the world. The vessel in question had five separate holds and was mainly used to transport a variety of dry bulk cargo.

While this particular journey was documented to carriage steel products and cement, Kayla was sitting on a heavy uncomfortable steel chair in one of the spare officers’ cabins. There was barely room to swing a cat in the tight quarters as Kayla let her head slowly sway from side to side, still feeling the effects from the agent which had been administered to her the previous evening. Behind her was a tiny single bed with a thin mattress and simple white pillow, with a ragged beige polyester blanket that was hanging down from the bed and touching the floor.

While the bed looked to be more than a little uncomfortable, Kayla wasn’t in a position where she’d be using it any time soon. Her steel chair had two thick steel armrests which both of her wrists were handcuffed to, with her ankles tightly cuffed to the legs of the chair. Her beautiful white dress was nowhere to be seen as Kayla was wearing a snug blue tracksuit. The top had a zipper that was pulled all the way up to just under her chin, but the cheap tracksuit top struggled as her tits were stretching the fabric around her chest to breaking point. At that moment, to her dismay, her tits were far more likely to break free than her wrists or her ankles.

Besides the bed, the cabin didn’t contain much else to captivate anyone’s attention. On the left-hand wall, after entering the room, was a wooden cabinet with a symbol indicating that a lifejacket was inside, with an A4 laminated document taped to the outside with instructions on how to use it. A bland set of yellow curtains were drawn over the cabin’s only small window, and a clock was affixed to the far wall which had been stuck without batteries for a number of months. As she began coming out of her stupor, Kayla had spent part of the previous night wondering if the clock’s steadfast refusal to move was a sign that her plight was driving her insane.

Despite it
